“Forms and Transformations of Pythagorean Knowledge” | Visuelles Konzept und Gestaltung eines Posters und Programmfolders

Die pythagoräische Formel a²+b²=c² war Ausgangs- und Mittelpunkt der Gestaltung für diese Tagung. Im Gesamtbild entsteht durch die Transformation der bildlich dargestellten Formel eine Spirale. Die Formel wird aus dem mathematischen Kontext herausgelöst und in einen metaphysischen Kontext überführt. Dieses Gestaltung steht analog zur Persönlichkeit Pythagoras´, die auch nicht eindeutig einer Geisteshaltung zugeordnet werden kann. Die Anmutung des Plakats / des Folders erinnert an handschriftliche Notizen und Zeichnungen.

/// The point of origin and the central point of the design was the pythagorean equation a²+b²=c². In general view the figurative equation is forming an spiral through its own transformation. It is unhinged from the mathematical context into a metaphysical one. This composition reflects the personality of Pythagoras, who can not be related to one mentality clearly. The impression of the poster / the folder reminds of handwritten notes and drawings.
