Für die Ausstellung „Painting Now“ entstand eine neue Tempografie, die den indischen Performance-Künstler Nikhil Chopra während seiner Performance „Blackening II“ abbildet. Die Ausstellung zeigte Objekte und Malereien im weitesten Sinn, also „Reste“, die nach verschiedenen Performances im Raum der Grüntaler9 zurück geblieben sind. Da Nikhil Chopra diesen Raum während seines „Artist in Residenz“-Aufenthalts in Berlin als Studio nutzte und die schwarze Tür neben meiner Tempografie ein Überbleibsel seiner letzten Performance in Berlin war, entstand eine konzeptionelle Verknüpfung zwischen der Tempografie und dem Ausstellungsraum.

/// For the exhibition “Painting Now” I created a new Tempografie, that shows the indian performance artist Nikhil Chopra during his Performance “Blackening II”. The exhibition exposed leftovers of different performances, that took place in the space of Grüntaler9, which were objects and paintings in the broadest sense. This space used to be Nikhil Chopras studio during his “artist in residence”-stay in Berlin. As the black door beneth my Tempografie is the leftover of his last performance in Berlin, a conceptual connection between the Tempografie and the exhibition space was generated.
